The challenge:

• Steel Bridge composed of 25 cambered beams (5 rows of 5 beams)

• Complex Model:

– Diaphragm connections with very pronounced angles

– Beam connections to over a hundred bracings

– Different curvatures for each row of beams

 

The solution

• Very precise 3D model enabling precise fabrication of stiffener angles in the curved beams including all welding preparations (Usage of the ‘Create Stiffeners’ command of the extension Advance PowerPack)

• Compared to competing software (e.g. Tekla), best possibility of customization angle stiffeners

• Creation of custom lists to allow efficient creation of material purchase orders
